About The FireSide Place
The Fireside Place has played a significant role in the life and history of small-town Carstairs. Built in 1925 as a part of the Carstairs Hotel, the restaurant officially opened its doors on April 1, 1926. Although the premises underwent extensive renovation in 2000, much of the nearly 90 year old building has been preserved, including the original brickwork, hardwood floors and supporting beams. True to its name, the Fireside Place also features a fireplace in each of the four dining rooms in the restaurant.
For many decades, the Fireside Place has served the residents of Carstairs and surrounding communities. Today, our restaurant is open 7 days a week and continues to offer an intimate and cozy dining experience that is reminiscent of earlier times. This warm and welcoming setting along truly delectable meals, such as our renowned prime rib, makes any visit to the Fireside Place one to look forward to, and one that you won’t soon forget!
